Privacy Policy

• Your email address, when you sign up for deal alerts.
• Your holiday interests (for example ski, family, all-inclusive), so alerts are relevant.
• Signup source — the page or category you signed up from.
• A consent record — the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time you agreed, and your subscription status.
• Your IP address at the moment of signup, kept solely as proof of consent.

We do not require an account to search or compare holidays, and we do not collect payment details — bookings are completed on our travel partners' own websites.

We use your data for one purpose: to send you holiday deal alerts, price drops and recommendations by email, and to keep a record that you asked us to.

We use a double opt-in process. After signing up you receive a confirmation email, and we only send deal alerts once you click the confirmation link.

Our lawful basis for sending you marketing emails and storing your details is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), as required by PECR for electronic direct marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawal is as easy as giving it.

We use the following processors, acting on our instructions:

• Supabase — secure database hosting for signup and consent records.
• Resend — delivery of our confirmation and deal alert emails.

Both are bound by data processing agreements. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers or travel partners for their own marketing.

If you never confirm your email, we delete the pending signup within 30 days. If you confirm, we keep your details until you unsubscribe, and for up to 24 months after that solely to keep a record of your consent and unsubscribe request (so we can prove we respected it). After that, records are deleted.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to how we use your data.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason.

To exercise any of these, email hello@skedadd.com — we respond within one month. Every email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately with no login required.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and affiliate tracking so our travel partners can attribute bookings made through our links. These are separate from your email subscription and never linked to your deal alert record.
